2010 Union Chapel Church Directory: The Union Chapel Church Directory Staff is currently making plans for publication of a new church directory. Since we have experienced tremendous growth over the past several years, the directory will serve as a tool for all of our families to become acquainted. Pastor Davis and the staff strongly encourage all families to participate in this effort. Portraits will be professionally done and viewable immediately after they are taken. Each family will receive a complimentary 8X10 portrait and directory for participating. Portrait sessions will begin on Tuesday, March 16, and continue through March 27, 2010. Census 2010: Your census form will arrive during the month of March. Please do not throw it away. Don't miss your opportunity to make a difference. Take ten minutes to answer ten questions. By answering these ten simple questions, you can help improve our schools, roads, hospitals, job-training programs, and much more in our community. If you need help completing your form, bring it to Church on Sunday, March 21, 2010, and we will have individuals here to help you.
March of Dimes Sunday: March of Dimes Sunday is March 28, 2010. This year we are asking members and friends to make a contribution for the Love twins who remain in the Neonatal Unit at the Huntsville Women and Children Hospital. The parents of the twins are Bro. Brandon and Sis. Ngozi Love. Contributions may be placed in regular offering/tithe envelopes with checks made to Union Chapel or the March of Dimes, but make sure that you denote MOD in the “OTHER” space on the envelope.
Tour and Hospitality Ministry: The Union Chapel Tour and Hospitality Ministry will be conducting guided tours of the Church and Church Campus on Sunday, March 21, 2010. The tour will begin immediately after the 10:45 a.m. worship service. Interested persons should assemble in the Church Fellowship Hall. Those who plan to take the tour should sign up no later than Sunday, March 14, 2010, at the Welcome Center.
Youth Department Travel: The Youth Department will sponsor an Alabama Black History trip during Spring Break. We will visit the cities of Huntsville, Tuskegee, Montgomery, Selma, and Birmingham and explore the rich history in our own back yards. The dates for this trip are Monday, March 15, 2010, through Wednesday, March 17, 2010. The cost is $196.00. The cost is for four (4) to a room and includes all meals and admission where required. If you are interested in going, please sign up at the Welcome Center on the Spring Break list. Deposits of $50.00 can be paid immediately and the balance will be due Sunday, March 7, 2010. Travel: If you signed up for the Memorial Day trip to Panama City Beach, Florida, deposits are now due. The final payment is due by Thursday, March 25, 2010. Please see Sis. Roberta Battle in the Church Office to make payments.
Travel: The Senior Adult Ministry (S.A.M.) will be going on a dinner cruise to Chattanooga, Tennessee on Tuesday, May 11, 2010. The cost will be $28.50 per person. If you would like to go, please sign up at the Welcome Center. The deadline to sign up for the trip and to make payment is Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Church-wide: Union Chapel will serve as a hub for this annual event to bring the churches of Greater North Huntsville together to visibly demonstrate the love of Christ through united prayer, a day of serving in the community and sharing and celebrating together God’s goodness. This is an incredible opportunity for us to serve others and become the hands and feet for Christ throughout our community. The couple of hours you spend will not only reach those in need but will touch your heart for a long time to come. Please sign up for this great outreach ministry today.

Wellness Ministry: The Wellness Ministry would like to invite members who are interested in promoting health to join their Ministry. The Wellness Ministry meets the second Saturday of each month. For further information, please contact Sis. Brenda Stephens.
Transportation Ministry: If you volunteer to drive the Church vans and have renewed your driver’s license, please go to the Church Office and leave a copy of your new driver’s license. For further information, please contact Bro. Orish Carter.
Membership Notice: All members who have had a change in name, address or telephone number are requested to update your membership information as soon as possible. This information is needed in order for financial statements to be mailed correctly. You may make these changes on your offering envelopes or contact the Church Office during regular business hours. Note: Individual boxes of offering envelopes are available for pick up today at the Welcome Center.
Tutorial Program: The Union Chapel Tutorial Program will be held each Wednesday from 5:30 – 6:45 p.m. in the Tutorial Room. Tutoring will be offered to students in grades K-12. Please contact Sis. Jenise Showers for further information.
