93rd Church Anniversary Celebration

Join us throughout the month of August as we celebrate our 93rd Church Anniversary.

This year's Anniversary Theme is: “One Body, Many Parts: United in Christ” (1 Corinthians 12)

This theme celebrates the diversity of generations and the many spiritual gifts within our church family. It reminds us that every member has a unique role to play in the local body of Christ as we serve, worship, and grow together.

We encourage everyone to participate in this month-long celebration, which will include Sunday worship services, Wednesday night Bible study, a choir concert, a church picnic, and opportunities for fellowship. Come and be a part of this special time as we honor God's faithfulness and celebrate the unity we share in Christ.

Power Hour of Prayer and Praise

Wednesday, August 5th
The Intercessory Prayer Ministry invites the entire church family to attend the “Power Hour of Prayer and Praise” on Wednesday, August 5^th at 6:30pm in the church sanctuary. Pastor Davis is encouraging all members to participate as we come together in prayer for salvation, healing, deliverance, and restoration. Please join us as we begin our 93^rd Church Anniversary celebration united in prayer.

United in Christ: Praise Concert

Wednesday, August 12th

The Music and Cultural Arts Ministry invites you to attend the “United in Christ: Praise Concert” on Wednesday, August 12^th at 6:30pm in the church sanctuary. This special evening of worship will feature all Union Chapel choirs and praise dancers as we come together to celebrate Christ through music, praise, and fellowship. We encourage you to invite your family and friends to join us for this inspiring Night of Praise.

Church Historical Display

Church Historical Display

In celebration of our 93^rd Church Anniversary, the Church Historical Display will be available in the Fellowship Hall from Sunday, August 2 thru Sunday, August 23. We invite members and guests to take time to learn more about the rich history of our church, from Gardner Street to Hollow Road and now Winchester Road. Join us in honoring the legacy, faithfulness, and continued growth of Union Chapel.

Anniversary Picnic

Saturday, August 15th

Join us for the 93rd Church Anniversary Picnic on Saturday, August 15 from 10:00am to 2:00pm. This fellowship will include fun activities for adults, youth, and children, including Bingo, Checkers, Jenga, Bible Trivia, a painting station, photo booth, moon bounce, game truck, basketball hoops, family relay race, water slides, and more. We invite everyone to come out, enjoy the celebration, and share in the fellowship. If you would like a vegetarian food option, please register on the church website so meals can be prepared accordingly. Participants interested in games or tournaments should sign up at the Welcome Center. Please sign up today and plan to join us for a wonderful day of family fun.

Cruise-in Car Show

Cruise-in Car Show

Union Chapel will have a free Cruise-In Car Show on Saturday August 15 from 11am until 2pm in conjunction with the Anniversary celebration. All vehicles are welcomed. Classics, Exotics, Late Models, Trucks, SUV's or Motorcycles. No registration is required. A People’s Choice Award will be given for the vehicle with the most votes. Nothing But Net

Basketball Clipart Vector Art, Icons, and Graphics for Free ... Kids, youth, young adults, and adults—get ready for some fun! During the Anniversary Picnic on August 15^th , we are excited to offer “Buckets Battle”, a fun basketball activity for all ages. Come show your skills, cheer on your friends, and enjoy some friendly competition. Hoop times will be announced during the picnic. Join us as we culminate our 93rd Church Anniversary on Sunday, August 16th at our Unity Worship at 9:00 AM worship services as we embrace our anniversary theme.

Churchwide Revival

Two-Night Revival

Pastor Dr. Stanley T. Hillard, Sr. of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, will continue as our guest speaker for our two-night Churchwide Revival. Please join us Monday and Tuesday, August 17–18 for a time of worship, renewal, and spiritual encouragement. We invite all members, family, and friends to attend as we come together in unity to thank God for His faithfulness and celebrate our 93^rd Church Anniversary.

Volunteers

Anniversary Volunteers:

The Fellowship Ministry is seeking volunteers to assist with the upcoming Church Anniversary activities. We invite individuals who are willing to share their time, hospitality, and service. Volunteer opportunities include greeting members and guests, assisting with games, supporting children’s activities, and providing setup and teardown support on the day of the event. Union Chapel Apparel Available

Union Chapel apparel and accessories will be available for purchase from July 12^th thru July 27^th We encourage everyone to pick up their Union Chapel gear, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, polos, hats, and tote bags. Our T-shirts and sweatshirts feature high-quality screen printing, while the polos and hats will be embroidered. We invite all members to wear their shirts during this year’s Church Anniversary Picnic on August 15^th . Please visit the church website to access the online store link.
